Bet Shean

The expansive excavations at Bet Shean.

South of Tiberias is a huge ruin called Bet Shean (still being excavated). This was a large commercial center during Old Testament times (where King Saul and his sons were hung after they were killed).

It had a very cool ampitheater as well as public latrines that had been excavated.
